Control Spy 2.0
Overview
With Control Spy, you can see instantly how different styles affect
the behavior and appearance of each control, and also how you
can change the state of each control by sending messages.
Two versions of Control Spy are available, one for Comctl32.dll
version 5.x and one for Comctl32.dll version 6.0 and later.
ControlSpyV6.exe has an application manifest built in so that it
uses the newer, themed controls, whereas ControlSpyV5.exe
does not and therefore defaults to the older version.

Overview
The Microsoft SQL Server Report Pack for Microsoft Office
SharePoint Portal Server 2003 is a set of 8 Microsoft SQL
Server 2000 Reporting Services reports that work with a
sample database of information extracted from a SharePoint
Portal Server environment. This database can be populated
from your own SharePoint Portal Server environment using
the downloadable Data Extraction Program (DEP). The DEP
will read the SharePoint Portal Server data via the object
model. You also can use the sample reports as templates
for designing new reports.
This Report Pack includes the following reports:
Storage Report
Shows a listing of the virtual servers and the number of collections,
sites, areas, lists, files and size. Also shows a size distribution and
storage usage chart, and a top 20 sites based on size.
Storage Trend Report
Shows four charts illustrating the virtual server storage trend, site
collection growth trend, area growth trend and list growth trend.
Site Trend Report
Shows hit counts for virtual servers, collections, areas and lists.
Also shows the top 20 sites based on hits.
Comprehensive Site Collections Report
Shows the list of site collections, who owns the collection,
configurable characteristics about the owner and the date
the collection was last accessed.
Detailed Site Collection Report
Shows top 20 pages accessed (based on hit count) for this site collection.
Detailed Page Report
Shows users who have access to the page, when they last
accessed it, any referrer URL and number of hits. Also shows
two charts illustrating user distribution and referrer distribution.
Best Bet Keyword
Shows top 20, top 10, bottom 10, or bottom 20 keywords used for
searching. Also shows which keywords have best bets.

Microsoft SyncToy v1.0
Overview
SyncToy v1.0 is available as a free download on the
Microsoft Download Center. The easy to use, customizable
application helps you copy, move, rename, and delete files between folders and computers.
There are new sources of files coming from every direction:
digital cameras, e-mail, cell phones, portable media players,
camcorders, PDAs, and laptops. Increasingly, computer
users are using different folders, drives, and even different
computers (such as a laptop and a desktop) to store and
retrieve files. Yet managing hundreds or thousands of files is
still largely a manual operation. In some cases it is necessary
to get copies of files from one place; in other cases there is
a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync. Some
users manage files manually, dragging and dropping from one
place to another and keeping a mental card catalog in their
heads. Others use one or more applications to provide this functionality for them.
Now there is an easier way. SyncToy is a free PowerToy for
Microsoft Windows XP that provides is an easy to use,
highly customizable program that helps users to do the
heavy lifting involved with the copying, moving, and
synchronization of different directories. Most common
operations can be performed with just a few clicks of the
mouse, and additional customization is available without
added complexity. SyncToy can manage multiple sets of
folders at the same time; it can combine files from two
folders in one case, and mimic renames and deletes in
another. Unlike other applications, SyncToy actually
keeps track of renames to files and will make sure those
changes get carried over to the synchronized folder.
We listened to your feedback. SyncToy was released as
a beta in early August 2005. We collected feedback from
the discussion forum on the Windows XP Professional
Photography web site, from the customer feedback
survey in the product (to access the online survey, open
SyncToy and select Help, then select Customer Feedback),
from a large number of professional and hobbyist photographers
at Microsoft, and from various world-wide forums, sites,
reviews and blogs on the web. Most of you (55%) asked for
the ability to type in a UNC path to select a folder. We
added this feature between the beta release and the
current v1.0 release. Features we added in response
to customer feedback include:
The ability to type in a UNC path;
Support for longer folder pair names and ability to
widen the left pane to see those longer names;
The ability to support the maximum length for folder paths,
and documentation was added to the help file about how
to set up a share to be able to sync deep folder pairs;
Better handling of the difference in precision
between NTFS and FAT timestamps;
More discoverable link to the help file for information
on how to schedule SyncToy using the Windows XP Task Scheduler;
Support for 800x600 screen resolution;
Added a warning for users if the selected action will take some time to complete;
Added brief explanations of the actions in the user interface;
Improved behavior when choosing folders to include or
exclude when there are large numbers of folders involved;
Improved support for accessibility modes.

Update for Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition (KB899656)
On some multi-processor x64 systems, Windows Server 2003 SP1 does not correctly recognize all configured processors when hyper-threading is enabled. This occurs when the BIOS has been designed to reprogram the APIC (advanced programmable interrupt controllers) ID’s at boot time. Most x64 systems are not affected. Do not install this update unless you are experiencing the stated problem.

最终补丁不最终,Win2000补丁再计划
由于近期不断被发现Windows 2000仍存在漏洞，
微软计划再次发布Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Update rollup，
而现在离这个Windows 2000最终补丁的发布时间才仅仅过
了一个多月。微软决定停止继续对Windows 2000进行免费
技术支持，发布了Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 Update rollup，
这个可算是最终补丁了。这个补丁发布之后，不久就被发
现存在兼容性问题，而且Windows 2000也被报告发现了
新的蠕虫漏洞。
微软即时采取了对策，在其网站上发布消息，“我们计划
重新发布Windows 2000 SP4 Update Rollup 1，这个新版的
Update Rollup将会集成几个新的补丁”。微软同时称，兼
容性问题造成了“孤立和影响了部分用户”，建议存在这
个问题的用户先不要安装Windows 2000 Rollup，而等到
重新发布后再进行安装。 但是，这个新版Rollup补丁的
具体发布日期微软并没有给出来，存在该问题的Win2000
用户唯有继续等待了。
Exchange 2003 OWA中修改密码
首先Exchange 2003的OWA的选项中没有密码修改项目，解决办法如下：

以下步骤和Exchange 2000 大同小异，具体如下：
1.安装CA
在本机控制面板添加/删除程序→添加/删除WINDOWS组件→增加证书服务。安装证书服
务。
在安装证书过程中，选择 “Enterprise Root”类型。
2.创建虚拟目录
程序→管理工具→INTERNET服务器管理器→INTERNET信息服务界面
在默认WEB站点内，建立虚拟目录“IISADMPWD”，应一字不错，切记。选择路径：
c:winntsystem32inetsrviisadmpwd  。如果你安装IIS没改目录的话，就是这个目
录了。如果改了目录，你需要找到IISADMPWD目录。如果没有此目录，则你证书安装有
问题。安装权限选择“读取、运行脚本”。在IISADMPWD目录上选属性--目录安全性—
匿名访问和验证控制—编辑—勾选匿名访问，确定退出。
3. 转到DOS字符界面
cd c:inetpubAdminScripts
运行以下的命令:
”adsutil.vbs set w3svc/passwordchangeflags 0”
4．在the Web server申请证书请求
a.请打开IIS
b.右键单击需要建立SSL的站点，并单击属性.
c.单击目录安全性, 然后单击 服务器证书，这将会弹出一个向导窗口
d.单击下一步 ->创建一张新证书.
e.单击下一步->现在申请证书, 但以后发送.
f.单击下一步, 填入证书名字.
g.单击下一步, 键入 机构 和机构单元.
h.单击下一步, 填入通用名. 通用名必须与服务器的FQDN名字相同.如果URL是

https://www.mydomain.com/securedir
, 则通用名需为
www.mydomain.com.
i.单击下一步, 填入国家 等信息
j.单击下一步, and保存该文件，并继续直至结束
5.  通过web向CA发送证书申请请求并颁发下载该证书:
a.在IE中打开
http:///certsrv
, 选择 Request a certificate.
注意：不要使用"localhost" 代替机器名.; certsrv一定要小写
b.单击 Next 并选择 Advanced request.
c.单击Next并选择Submit a certificate request using a base64 encoded PKCS #10
file or a renewal request using a base64 encoded PKCS #7 file.
d.单击Next, 打开您已保存的文件，将该文件中所有的内容复制填入Base64 Encoded
Certificate Request文本框.
e.单击Submit. 可能会出现Certificate Pending 。. 如果弹出要您下载, 请跳到步骤

f.在Certificate Server上, 打开 Certification Authority（证书颁发机构） MMC.
g.召开CA,单击 Pending Requests 右键单击您申请的请求，选择 All Tasks－>
Issue.
h.在IE中打开

，选择Check on a pending

i.单击 Next, 选择您所申请的证书
j.击Next, 选择DER encoded, 然后单击 Download CA certificate 将该证书保存在
web server的本地硬盘上。

a.打开IIS，右键单击需要建立SSL的站点，并单击属性
b.单击目录安全性, 然后单击 服务器证书，这将会弹出一个向导窗口
c.选择”处理挂起的请求并安装证书”
d.单击下一步，选择已下载的证书，继续直至完成所有的操作
7. 打开IIS，打开Exchange虚拟目录的属性，打开“目录安全性“，点击最下面的一个
“编辑”按钮，在跳出的对话框中选中”需要安全通道“复选框“,具体的配置见下图
(暂无).
8.在OWA中选项“更改密码”已经可以正常显示修改口令的页面了，输入域、账户、旧
密码、新密码后“OK" 即可出现密码更改成功页面。

　　673：授权票证服务 (TGS) 票证已授权。TGS 是由 Kerberos v5 票证授权服务 (TGS) 颁发的票证，允许用户对域中的特定服务进行身份验证。
　　674：安全主体已更新 AS 票证或 TGS 票证。
　　675：预身份验证失败。用户键入错误的密码时，密钥发行中心 (KDC) 生成此事件。
　　676：身份验证票证请求失败。在 Windows XP Professional 或 Windows Server 家族的成员中不生成此事件。
　　677：TGS 票证未被授权。在 Windows XP Professional 或 Windows Server 家族的成员中不生成此事件。
　　678：帐户已成功映射到域帐户。

Overview
Indigo and Avalon are the codenames for two strategic developer technologies
that Microsoft plans to ship in 2006 as part of the Windows "Longhorn" operating

XP and Windows Server 2003. The WinFX Runtime Components Beta1 enables

Accessing the ISO File
An ISO-9660 image file is an exact representation of a CD, including the content and the logical format. The most common use of an image file is to write it to a blank CD-R resulting in an identical copy of the original CD including file name and volume label information. ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition uses a Configuration Storage server as a storage
mechanism for enterprise and array settings. ISA Server array members must be able
to connect to a Configuration Storage server, and in the following scenarios certificates
are required to authenticate this connection:
• When ISA Server computers are not installed in a domain (workgroup mode)
• When ISA Server array members are part of a domain that does not have a trust
relationship with the domain in which the Configuration Storage server is located.
Certificate configuration is done during ISA Server Setup, but if you want to change
configuration settings after installation, ISACertTool.exe helps you do the following:
• Install a server certificate on the Configuration Storage server
• Install a root certificate on each array member to indicate that it trusts the Certification
Authority that issued the server certificate.

Overview
Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit provides two components - Rqs.exe and Rqc.exe, as
a mechanism for quarantine control. Quarantine control enables you to hold remote client
access requests in quarantine, after authentication, until client computer configuration
settings are validated. Rqc.exe runs as a notification component on the remote client computer,
informing the Rqs.exe listener component running on the ISA Server that the client computer
complies with security policy.
On computers running Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1, obtai
these components as follows:
• Install Rqs.exe using Add/Remove Windows Components in the Control Panel. Deploy
Rqc.exe on remote client computer using the Connection Manager Administration Kit. For
instructions on installing these components, see New Networking Features in Windows
Server 2003 Service Pack 1.
On computers running Windows Server 2003 without a service pack, obtain these
components as follows:
• Install Rqs.exe and Rqc.exe from the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit.
An updated version of Rqs.exe is available, and after installing Rqs.exe and Rqc.exe
from the Resource Kit, install the updated file from Remote Access
Quarantine Agent (Rqs.exe)".
After installing the Rqs.exe file on your computer, run ConfigureRqsForISA.vbs
to create the following:
• RQS protocol definition on TCP port 7250.
• Instance of the RQS service
• Access rule allowing the RQS protocol
• Registry entry for the RQS service, and an entry to ensure that RQS event messages
display correctly in the Event Viewer.

李开复跳槽引发微软Google对簿公堂
在Google于7月19日宣布挖走微软中国研究院创始人李开复后，微软迅即向美国华盛顿州法院提起诉讼，将李开复和Google一起送上了被告席。
    Google本周二宣布任命李开复担任其筹建中的中国研发中心总监，而在前一天，李博士还是微软互动服务部门的副总裁。
    “接受微软直接的竞争者Google的职位，违反了李开复在就任执行官时作出的狭义非竞争性承诺，”微软在其指控中说，“Google明知李开复对微软有这些承诺，但还是选择了置若罔闻，并怂恿李开复去违反这些承诺。”
    在这起诉讼中，微软寻求经济赔偿，并通过法庭禁令来兑现非竞争性条款和李开复的工作合同的许诺，这些禁令包括禁止李开复泄露微软的商业机密。

微软决定起诉 Google，原因就是李开复
NeoWin 于今日登出了这则消息，应该不是谣言。因为 Google 公然雇佣了微软的副总裁李开复来开展自己在华的业务，向来都是被起诉的微软决定也主动打一场官司。

　　Google同时宣布，将于第三季度在中国建立中国工程研究院。 此前，李开复博士因在语音识别和人工智能领域的开创性成就而广为人知。李博士曾在微软公司任职，在1998年创建微软中国研究院之后，他在2000年被提升为微软公司全球副总裁。

IE7不支持Win2K Firefox从中受益
微软已经表示，将不会开发支持Windows2000操作系统的IE7浏览器，而Win2K目前依旧广泛应用于商务以及企业计算机系统。这意味着，Firefox很有可能籍此继续在商务应用领域侵噬IE份额。

受损JPG文件可导致IE崩溃
Windows XP SP2的漏洞还没有补上，IE又有麻烦了。波兰安全专家Michal Zalewski称，IE浏览器在碰到受损的JPG文件时可能会崩溃。
Zalewski使用不同的受损JPG文件进行了多次试验，检验不同浏览器的反应。此前，他曾用受损的HTML文件测试浏览器。当时IE经受了考验，不过这次不行了。在处理损坏的JPG文件时，IE崩溃了，而其他浏览器表现得要好的多。
在一个网络浏览器碰到损坏的图片文件时，通常会有三种结果：图片无法显示；仅显示完好部分；浏览器崩溃。
Zalewski说，很多潜在的攻击方式都可以轻易地让IE崩溃，现在的情况说明微软的程序员没有在浏览器内加入应付受损文件的代码。
Zalewski警告说，很多时候崩溃的出现都与内存错误有关。黑客可以利用损坏的JPG文件使用户的电脑出现内存错误，从而改变程序并控制你的电脑。

微软测试HotMAIL新界面

微软正在测试她的Hotmail新版本，该版本的代码名称是“Kahuna”，主要特点包含全新的用户界面，定期邮箱更新和一个邮件展示板，用户可以利用这一展示板阅读、回复邮件，不必反复进入邮箱系统。
实际上，中国的MSN用户已经开始使用这一服务，当用户进入自己的MSN Messenger时，系统会自动弹出一个小型展示板，板本包含MSN中国官方网站当天的主要资讯和邮件信息。用户可通过该展板直接浏览邮箱状况，并可以直接发送和回复邮件。
微软打算将Hotmail新版本的展板打造成整洁形象。未来，Hotmail还会与MSN Spaces、MSN Messenger 紧密整合。

IE 7 将具有反病毒及反网络钓鱼功能
微软曾向外界透露了它们关于隐私及安全方面的计划，包括Internet Explorer 7的加强和其他数字权限管理软件。尽管根据之前的计划，IE7不会在Longhorn之前到来，但是据盖茨确认，IE7将在今年夏天进入Beta阶段，正式发布将于今年圣诞节。而该浏览器届时将集成最近从Sybari收购来的反病毒技术，并加强反网络钓鱼软件。

Longhorn Beta 1 进度揭秘
    摘要：根据Paul Thurrott在微软公司的内线（应该不是间谍……），微软将今年7月27日作为Longhorn Beta 1的发布日期，尽管，很明显届时要使未能搞定其内部对于内部Bug的要求，可能会延期。目前Beta 1的Build版本是5101，比当前Beta 1分支的内部版本5103更早一些。关于Beta 1的Build的版本问题，我们与曾经预测过，决不会是最近泄露的52xx系列。 根据早先的报道，微软最近将Beta 1版单独最为一个分支从post-Beta 1（或者我们可以认为是Beta 2）中分离出来。最近泄露的截图来自于Beta 2的Build版本。 至于Beta 1的时间表，微软的测试组正努力于7月22日完成测试，但是他们需要活动Bug的的数量降至零。周一是123个，到周二已经降到了86个，我们期待微软尽快搞定所有的活动Bug，Beta 1可以尽快到来，忍不住想体验一下Beta 1了。但是，我还是更期待Beta 2……

The Microsoft SQL Server Report Pack for Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 is a set of 8 Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services reports that work with a sample database of information extracted from a SharePoint Portal Server environment.
